Description
A striking companion pair of vintage sculptural ceramic table lamps in glossy black glaze with warm gilt accents and dramatic biomorphic forms, likely dating to the late 1960s–1970s.
Each lamp reflects the expressive decorative lighting language of the mid-century atomic era, blending Hollywood Regency glamour with sculptural modernist influence. Though not a perfectly matched pair, the lamps complement beautifully through shared scale, palette, and visual rhythm while retaining distinct individual forms.
One lamp features looping openwork and pierced detailing, while the other incorporates dimensional petal-like sculptural elements rising from a brass-toned base. Newly styled with black shades featuring warm gold interiors, the pair casts a rich ambient glow and brings strong architectural presence to a room.
Sophisticated, atmospheric, and slightly theatrical, these lamps work especially well in layered interiors alongside walnut case pieces, chrome, brass, books, and collected decorative objects.
