I grew up surrounded by antiques, curious objects with a history and resonance that was perceptible. The objects held my family's stories. As a child, I looked at images through a stereoscope, played with a walking stick, and sledded on the same sleds my mother, grandmother, and grandfather all used. From a young age, I understood those objects mattered. And they were everywhere!
