Description

A refined set of four Danish modern dining chairs designed by Harry Østergaard for Randers Møbelfabrik, imported to the United States by Maurice Villency Inc.

The set includes three side chairs and one matching armchair, all crafted in solid teak with Østergaard’s signature sculptural backrests and elegant proportions. The armchair features gently curved arms that integrate seamlessly with the side chairs, making this group ideal for a dining table head position, desk use, or a compact seating arrangement.

All chairs retain their original black leather upholstery, presenting a warm, natural patina consistent with authentic mid-century Danish design. Original Maurice Villency importer labels are present, underscoring the set’s provenance and collectibility.

The chairs are well constructed, stable, and comfortable, offering both everyday usability and strong design presence. Sets of this quality, particularly with an armchair included and documented importer attribution, are increasingly difficult to source.
