Description
A matching pair of iconic Componibili storage units designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell, Italy. Anna Castelli Ferrieri, was the co-founder of Kartell and a pioneer of Italian modernism, this 3-tier cylindrical unit is a hallmark of "Space Age" design. This is a sought-after pair, early production Model 4965-67.
Introduced in 1967, the cylindrical modular system remains one of the most enduring examples of postwar Italian industrial design. The sliding tambour doors and stacked form reflect Ferrieri’s architectural precision paired with Kartell’s early innovation in molded plastics.
Unlike modern reproductions, these vintage pieces feature the authentic deep-molded Kartell stamp on the base, identifying it as a 1970s original made in Italy. Its sleek, functional design features three sliding doors that reveal ample storage, making them perfect as bedside tables, office organizers, or stylish side tables.
A permanent part of the MoMA collection, the Componibili remains one of the most recognizable and functional pieces of 20th-century furniture design.
