Original 1935 Chevrolet Master Hood Ornament Eagle, GM Design Patent 94151

Original Chevrolet winged eagle hood ornament from the 1935 Master Series, retaining its distinctive streamlined Art Deco form and horizontal ribbed wing detailing.

The underside of the mounting base is stamped “GM” and “DESIGN PAT. 94151,” consistent with an authentic period Chevrolet mascot. The sculptural eagle design remains one of the most recognizable hood ornaments of the mid-1930s.

Condition:

Original vintage finish with attractive age-related patina. Natural surface pitting and oxidation consistent with age and the original zinc/pot metal construction. Structurally sound with crisp wing details and well-defined casting. Rear mounting base remains intact with both original mounting holes present. I cannot confirm whether any additional front mounting components are absent, as these ornaments were often attached to larger assemblies and surviving examples vary. Sold as found and as pictured.

Gently cleaned to remove loose dirt and oil; not aggressively polished or refinished in order to preserve its historical character and original surface.
