Description

A striking vintage sleeper sofa featuring a polished chrome frame, woven cane side panels, and blush velvet upholstery. Architectural yet inviting, the combination of chrome, cane, and soft upholstery creates a distinctive profile that works beautifully in modern, eclectic, and collected interiors.

Likely dating to the late 1960s or 1970s, the sofa retains its original TV-O-Matic sleeper mechanism, a period folding-bed system that remains fully functional and is shown extended in the accompanying photographs. The original mattress was replaced with a newer foam sleeper mattress for improved comfort and practicality.

The upholstery appears to have been professionally redone at some point. It presents beautifully overall in a soft dusty rose tone with some tonal variation and light fading consistent with age and use. The woven cane side panels remain intact and provide warmth and visual contrast to the chrome frame.

A versatile piece that functions equally well as a statement sofa, guest-room sleeper, or studio seating.

Condition

Good vintage condition. Chrome presents well with age-appropriate wear. Cane remains intact and attractive. Upholstery shows expected variation and light fading consistent with age and use. Sleeper mechanism operates smoothly. Please review photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
