Description
A wonderfully substantial 1970s dining set by American of Martinsville, combining bold American scale with stylish geometric details.
The oak table features a dramatic chevron-patterned oak veneer top and a distinctive faceted form, with clipped angles echoed throughout the coordinating chair frames. Eight high-back chairs (six side chairs and two armchairs) feature woven cane panels that bring texture and visual lightness to the set.
The overall effect is unmistakably 1970s: warm oak, strong architectural lines, graphic wood grain, cane, and capacious proportions, tempered by crisp geometry and an elegant silhouette.
